6,000 miles · one loop · no schedule
Two people, one blue heeler, and a boat named Reset — chasing America's Great Loop one anchorage at a time.
Meet the crew
We're Emily & Justin — and our first mate Kava, a blue heeler who's never met a bow she didn't want to ride. We traded the everyday grind for dock lines, slow mornings, and sunsets we actually stop to watch.
We named our boat Reset because that's exactly what this chapter is: a chance to start over on our own terms. Now we're pointing the bow around America's Great Loop and taking it slow enough to really see it.
See you out on the water. ⚓︎
What's the Great Loop?
The Great Loop is a roughly 6,000-mile continuous waterway that circles the eastern United States and part of Canada — up the Atlantic coast, across the Great Lakes, down the inland rivers, and home along the Gulf.
Boaters who complete the whole circle earn the nickname “Loopers.” That red line is the path; we're somewhere on it right now, learning as we go.
First mate on duty
Our blue heeler, chief lookout, and the best reason to stop for one more sunset walk down the dock.
Come along for the ride
We share the good, the salty, and the occasional “what did we get ourselves into” from the water. Tap in and follow the adventure — new stops all the time.
